This painting was most likely the same ‘Stilleben mit Zinnkrug’ which was displayed at the Great German Art Exhibition in 1944, room 35. It is signed on the back ‘Stilleben mit Zinnkrug, febr. 1944, L. Platzöder, München’. The Great German Art Exhibition in 1944 opened on the 28th of July. Unlike the exhibitions in the previous years (1937 – 1943), there are hardly any photos of the 1944 exhibition.
‘Stilleben mit Zinnkrug’ was one of the 37 works of Ludwig Platzöder that were displayed in the GDKs from 1938 to 1944.
