‘Prag’ (‘City of Prague, Capital of the Czech Republic’)
Biography: Otto Hamel
Displayed at the Great German Art Exhibition 1940 room 38; bought by Joachim von Ribbentrop, Minister of Foreign Affairs (1933 – 1945).
On the backside there are three original GDK stickers, one reading:
‘Anschrift für die Rücksendung, Von Ribbentrop, Reichsaussenminister, Berlin, Wilhelmstrasse 70 – 76′
Depicted in ‘Kunst dem Volk’, 1940.
Displayed at the GDK 1940 room 38. Bought by Von Ribbentrop for 2,500 Reichsmark.
